Yellow Dude Christmas Ornament

Hi everyone! I know it's been a while since you've gotten a new pattern from me. The busy life of a stay at home mom. Jacob will be four on the fifth! And I have a new little one due May 30th! My little man loved this ornament I created for him. The shiny glass bulbs are so tempting for toddlers so I wanted to make some kid friendly ornaments! This is the first of a few new patterns I hope to post before Christmas. And they are so quick to complete that you  can complete one very quickly!

Materials Needed:
A small amount of worsted weight yarn in the following colors
Yellow
Black
Grey
Size G crochet hook (or whatever size gives you a tight fabric. Gauge is not important for this pattern but a tight fabric is so you won't see the polyfil or have any escape)
Polyfil
Needle to Weave in ends
Glue (I used E6000)
1 Marker
1 inch round google eye (1 or 2 depending on your preference)

Ornament:
Rnd 1: With Yellow: Ch 1, 6sc in magic ring. Do not join. Work in continuous rounds.
Rnd 2: Placing marker in 1st st to mark beginning of row now and throughout work 2 sc in each st.
Rnd 3: (Sc in next st, 2 sc in next st) around.
Rnd 4: (Sc in next 2 sts, 2 sc in next st) around.
Rnd 5: (Sc in next 3 sts, 2 sc in next st) around.
Rnd 6: Sc in each sc around.
Rnd 7-9: With black sc in each sc around.
Rnd 10 -11: With Yellow sc in each sc around.
Rnd 12: (Sc in next 3 sts, sc decrease) around.
Rnd 13: (Sc in next 2 sts, sc decrease) around.
Rnd 14: (Sc in next st, sc decrease) around.
Stuff ball.
Rnd 15: (Sc decrease around).
Finish off leaving a long tail to weave through remaining stitches and pull tight, and to create a loop to hang the ornament from your tree with.

Goggle:
With Grey ch 1, 6 sc in magic loop.
Place marker in first st to mark beginning of row. 2 sc in each st around.
Sc in front loop only of each stitch around. Join with a slip stitch and weave in ends,
At this point I used E6000 to secure the google eye into the goggle. It was a snug fit. You can then either sew the goggle onto the ornament or use some more e6000 for a fast finish. I glued mine over the row jogs. It was the perfect size to conceal it all.

Hope you enjoy!! Please don't share this pattern, share the link back to this page. Thank you!
